Inmate Visitation
All visits are conducted through our video visitation system. View current information about the Inmate Phone System and Tablet Video Visitation system.
On-Site Video Visits
On-site visits are located at the Van Buren County Jail lobby.
- Each visit lasts 30 minutes.
- Up to 2 visitors per visit (children not included).
- Visits are recorded and monitored.
- Arrive 10 minutes early. Late arrivals may lose visiting time.
- No nudity or provocative clothing allowed.
- Only scheduled visitors are allowed in the area.
- Visitors must stay at the booth during visits.
- No entry if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Visitors under 17 must be with an adult.
- No social media posts or videos in the lobby.
- No loud or disruptive behavior.
- Damaging equipment may lead to prosecution.

Pre-Scheduling Visits
The lobby is open 24/7 for scheduling. The inmate must approve your request to confirm the visit. The Sheriff’s Office may deny or cancel visits based on behavior.
Off-Site Video Visits
- Charges may apply for remote visits.
- Schedule visits between 8-11 AM, 12-4 PM, and 6-10 PM.
- No nudity or provocative clothing. No electronic devices.
- Visits are recorded and monitored.
- Visitors under 17 must be with an adult.
