Dog License Information

According to Michigan law, all dogs over 4 months old must have a current rabies vaccination and a dog license. You need to get a license by March 1, 2026, or as soon as your puppy gets its first rabies shot. The fee for puppies 6 months or less is $10. Penalties apply after this date.
