Inmates at Van Buren County Jail receive mail on all days the U.S. Postal Service operates. We open and inspect all mail for safety.
To send mail to an inmate, please use this format:

Mail Rules
- Use postcards from the post office for all mail.
- Stamps must be embedded in the paper, except for attorney mail.
- Send money orders in an envelope. Clearly mark “Money Order” on the outside, or it will be returned.
- We accept digital photos through the SECURUS system. There is no limit on photos. All photos are reviewed before access.
- Books and magazines must be mailed directly from a store or online retailer.
- Attorney mail must come directly from the attorney’s office. We do not accept it from family members.
