Meet the County Treasurer

Trisha Nesbitt has dedicated her career to serving the families of Van Buren County. She has been the County Treasurer since 2019. In this role, Trisha works hard to prevent tax foreclosures and manage taxpayer dollars wisely.

Trisha graduated from Michigan State University and has served as Chief of Staff for Senator Tonya Schuitmaker. She has deep knowledge of the legislative process and experience in helping community members. Trisha also completed the Michigan Political Leadership Program, which brings together people committed to community service and leadership.

Trisha lives in Lawton with her husband, Aric, and their children, Catherine, William, and Margot.
