Our GIS team provides mapping and analysis services to Van Buren County. We offer geographic data to help local officials with decision-making and daily operations.
The Geographic Information System (GIS) hosts digital map layers of the county. These layers include roads, lakes, rivers, land use, zoning, demographics, and more. They help create various themed maps for the county. Some maps may combine several data layers.
Use the Parcel Viewer to make custom maps. You can print them at home by clicking the printer icon.
The GIS Department offers a variety of downloadable maps ready for printing. More maps and data products will be available soon.
Find original Plat and Subdivision maps in the Parcel Viewer. Turn on “Subdivisions” in the legend and click the shaded area for more details. You can also get these maps from the State of Michigan’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). Visit their help page for instructions. Contact the GIS Department for more information.
Van Buren County GIS Data is available for free through this form: VBC GIS Data and Services Request Form.
