In August 2020, Market Van Buren held the first meeting of the Van Buren County Internet Task Force (ITF). This group includes community leaders, elected officials, local internet providers, and tech experts. We work together to improve broadband access in Van Buren County.
Our mission is clear:
Broadband is the great equalizer between rural and urban communities. Reliable, high-speed internet connects our residents to education, healthcare, and job opportunities.
We aim for every household and business in Van Buren County to have affordable internet access.
The Internet Task Force leads efforts to improve internet infrastructure, focusing on unserved and underserved areas.
We support local internet mapping and explore grants to expand broadband access in Van Buren County.
We meet virtually on the second Thursday of each month at 9 a.m. To join, please contact Sarah Snoeyink for the Zoom link at [email protected].
On March 28, 2022, municipal leaders discussed ongoing broadband mapping and collaboration opportunities.
