Canine Handler Deputy Devon Krogel gave a presentation to the Decatur Study Club at the Van Buren County District Library in the Village of Decatur.

Uniform Response made a Traffic Stop on a vehicle leaving Casey’s Gas Station in Hartford for an obstructed license plate. The vehicle was reported stolen by Michigan City PD. The driver(a Berrien County Resident) was taken into custody for being in possession of the stolen vehicle.

Uniform Response handled an Assault incident in Arlington Township. While doing the investigation, the suspect became aggressive and tried to get the Deputies firearm from his holster. The individual was arrested and charged for the incident.

Uniform Response handled a break-in in which the suspect wasn’t allowed at a residence in Bloomingdale Township per bond restrictions out of Allegan County.

Uniform Response handled an MDOP/Throwing Rocks at a Moving Vehicle Incident in Almena Township/Antwerp Township.

Uniform Response stopped a vehicle for a High Rate of Speed near the fairgrounds while the fair was going on. The driver was found to be driving while intoxicated. The driver was lodged for the incident

We Contracted with Porter Township for a Deputy to be there 5 hours a week. The Deputy will focus on blight and other issues that need attention in the township. We have several contracts in the county with townships, and we’ve had great success with everyone that has one.
