A community collection for household hazardous waste, electronics, tires, and foam will be held this Saturday, June 6, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event will take place at Van Buren Community Mental Health, located at 801 Hazen Street in Paw Paw.

What You Can Bring

Residents may drop off the following items for proper disposal and recycling:

  • Household Hazardous Waste (HHW): Chemicals, cleaners, and other hazardous materials.
  • Electronics: Computers, monitors, and other electronic devices.
  • Foam: Clean polystyrene foam packaging.
  • Tires: Passenger-sized or semi-sized tires (on or off-rim).
    • Note: Tires larger than a semi tire will not be accepted.

How To Register

To ensure the event runs smoothly, attendees are encouraged to sign up in advance.

  • Registration Link: Register here via the online form
  • Tire Requirements: Pre-registration is required if you are bringing tires. If you register for tires, watch for a mandatory follow-up form sent via email prior to the event.
  • Other Items: Registration is optional for those only bringing hazardous waste, electronics, or foam.

Disposal Limits for Tires

Ten tires per household are guaranteed for disposal. Acceptance of more than 10 tires is subject to trailer capacity at the time of the event.
