24:7 Dad: A Free Discussion Group For Dads!

Fatherhood is an evolution, not a destination. Whether a resident is currently expecting their first child, navigating the toddler years, or raising teenagers, the Van Buren County Friend of the Court invites local fathers to join a community of peers dedicated to being the best parents they can be.

Starting April 16, 2026, the county will host the 24:7 Dad program, an evidence-based curriculum developed by the National Fatherhood Initiative. This series is designed to help fathers reinforce their existing strengths while discovering new, practical ways to stay involved and committed to their children 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Program

This program offers a chance for participants to share their own fatherhood experiences while gaining tools to navigate modern parenting. Key topics include:

  • Co-Parenting Success: Learning effective communication and how to work constructively with mothers.
  • Healthy Discipline: Gaining tools to guide children with consistency and care.
  • Emotional Wellness: Navigating and handling complex feelings and emotions within the family unit.
