Van Buren Youth Fair
The Van Buren Youth Fair is a community tradition celebrating 4-H, agriculture, and family fun at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds in Hartford. From livestock exhibits and carnival rides to live entertainment every night, there’s something for everyone – July 18–25, 2026.
Special Admission Days
Monday, July 20 – Armed Forces Day: Veterans get in free all day in honor of Veterans Day at the Fair
Tuesday, July 21 – Ladies’ & Senior Citizen Day: Free admission for ladies (19 and over) and seniors until 5:00 PM
Wednesday, July 22 – Kids Day: Youth 18 and under admitted free until 5:00 PM
Highlighted Events
Monday: Farm Stock Tractor Pulls and tethered balloon rides
Tuesday: Carnival rides open at 3:00 p.m.; Hartford NTPA Nationals at 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday: MSU Extension hands-on activities for kids; bicycle giveaway drawing at 2:00 p.m.; Comedian Night at 7:00 p.m.
Friday: Flying Star Rodeo at 7:00 p.m., followed by fireworks at dusk
Saturday: TNT Bump Run Demolition Derby at 7:00 p.m.
Activities & Attractions
Livestock and animal exhibits, carnival rides, live nightly entertainment, complimentary axe throwing (Wednesday–Saturday), youth competitions, and more.
