Narrative:
Sheriff Daniel E. Abbott reports that Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 37000 block of M43 for a report of a missing person. The caller was reporting that his 63-year-old wife and their dog were missing, and his wife did have signs of early onset of dementia. Deputies arrived on scene and found that the female had likely walked off into the wooded area of the property with the dog approximately 1 hour prior to their arrival. An extensive search of the property and surrounding properties were conducted. Deputies searched on foot, using a K-9, a drone, and a department UTV. Neighbors from surrounding properties also assisted in looking for the female. She was located approximately 3hours after the initial call by a neighbor searching their property on a personal UTV. The female was cold, and her clothes were wet but she was in good health overall. The missing dog was also located a short time later. The female was evaluated by EMS on scene and released to the care of her husband.
