Narcotics Search Warrant

Charges:

Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine (23.7 ounces), Possession of Cocaine (15.7 ounces), Felony Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Maintaining a Drug House.

Location:

200 Block of Willard St Paw Paw, MI 49079

Suspect:

43 year old male from Paw Paw 

Narrative:

Sheriff Daniel E Abbott reports that the Van Buren County Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation in the Village of Paw Paw into to the illicit sale of narcotics, specifically methamphetamine and cocaine.  The investigation led to a search warrant being conducted in the 200 block of Willard St.  During the search Narcotics Detectives recovered, a loaded 40 caliber handgun, 23.7 ounces if Methamphetamine and 15.7 ounces of Cocaine.  Detectives also seized approximately $5,200.00 in US currency, directly related to the sale of the narcotics.  Sheriff Abbott notes that there were 2 small children in the house at the time of this incident and that Child Protective Services have been contacted to conduct a joint investigation.  The suspect was arrested and lodged at the Van Buren County Jail without incident.  This investigation remains open.
