Court Officers
Each court must provide the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) with a list of court officers or bailiffs authorized to seize property or conduct evictions, as per MCR 3.106(B)(2). You can find a directory of approved court officers, including those in Van Buren County, on the Supreme Court website.
Court officers from other courts may serve papers, but they cannot execute or arrest based on judgments in Van Buren County Courts.
To apply, please call Court Administration at 269-657-8200 ext. 2340.
